My goal is to run 5km in well under 25 minutes in preparation for the JP Morgan corporate challenge where the distance is 5.6km.
I recently ran 5.7km in 28.18, which was also my fastest 5k at 25.26. This leads me to believe this goal is well within reach by the time of the event on 22 October.
I plan to increase my cardiovascular health by making sure I do zone 2 runs at least once a week. This will enable me to increase my capacity for oxygen and promote higher endurance, or so I’ve heard.
Will check in about a fortnight perhaps.
